How I screw myself on LubJam 2021

This year I organized the seventh edition of LubJam – Lublin’s Global Game Jam site. Besides organizing, I was also actively participating in it. ?

Is it hard? Is it time-consuming? But most importantly, is it fun to participate?

Staying at home GameDev way

Governments all over the world are recommending to stay at home to prevent spreading the SARS-CoV-2 virus causing Covid-19. So as we all have to deal with the quarantine or just doing your part staying at home, what can we do as game developers?

There is actually a lot of things you can do! And all thanks to that, we love to sit with the computer. ?‍?

Summary of LubJam 2020!

The sixth edition of LubJam 2020, part of Global Game Jam, is over… So it’s time to make a little summary of this year’s edition!

It’s the first time we were in Labyrinth Gallery as a game jam. We had two rooms for us for the whole 48 hours! One for jamming, and one with a big cinema screen for presentations! Love it! ?

And what’s the most impressive, in only 48 hours attendees made 11 games! ?

Edge Experience Hackathon – Summary

Last weekend I had a chance to go to Cracow to attend Edge Experience Hackathon, where we could play with edge platform developed by MobiledgeX.

Hackathon was taking place in hum:raum, where T-Mobile Poland installed their 5G network so we could almost touch the future!

And oh we did!

Global Game Jam Stories and Me

Yes! I finally got it! So now I can be proud of being in the book! ?
The book that I’m speaking about is Global Game Jam Stories.

Back in 2017, I’ve heard an announcement about collecting stories and pictures from Global Game Jams all over the world. I couldn’t miss that opportunity to share my story with the rest of the globe. ?

My story and stories of other people were published in the book Global Game Jam Stories.
You can find there a collection of many exciting and uplifting stories related to the Global Game Jam and its participants, and it was made to celebrate GGJ turning 10 years old! ?
